About Me
Hi, I’m Sarah Jane Lightfoot, an illustrator and author from Melbourne. My stories and illustrations celebrate the everyday magic of our neighbourhoods, encouraging readers to slow down, look closer, and discover beauty in the familiar. I studied Textile Design at RMIT and spent over a decade working as a textile and graphic designer before swapping fashion prints for picture books. These days, you’ll usually find me sketching on my ipad, chasing after my daughter, or dreaming up new stories to share with young readers.
